To finish my series of covers, I show five covers I did for audio cassette tapes. You know, these little devices we used in the previous century to record music when we wanted to hear it away from our disks (vinyls!). Before the era of all numeric. I recorded a lot of my disks (and my brother's), and lot of songs on the radio too. To get away from the ugly standard tape covers, I used to cut out photos (flowers, etc.) in magazines. For a change, I drew these covers, but never actually used them (or perhaps a copy of them?). The first four are covers for albums by The Doors. The first two are (bad) visual puns, the other two are portraits of Jim Morrison. The last cover is a mix of Jean-Michel Jarre's album sleeves, the Earth from Oxygène and the figures from Équinoxe.

Pour finir ma série de couvertures, je montre cinq jaquettes que j'ai fait pour des cassettes audio. Vous savez, ces petits trucs que nous utilisions au siècle dernier pour enregistrer de la musique quand nous voulions l'entendre loin de nos disques (vinyles !). Avant l'ère du tout numérique... J'ai enregistré plein de mes disques (et de mon frère) et plein de chansons à la radio aussi. Pour me débarrasser des jaquettes standard affreuses, j'ai découpé des photos (style fleurs, etc.) dans des magazines. Pour changer, j'ai dessiné ces couvertures, mais je ne les ai jamais utilisés (ou peut-être une photocopie ?). Les quatre premières sont des jaquettes pour les albums des Doors. Les deux premières sont des (mauvais) jeux de mot visuels, les deux suivantes sont des portraits de Jim Morrison. La dernière couverture est un mix des jaquettes des albums de Jean-Michel Jarre, la Terre d'Oxygène et les figures d'Équinoxe.

Thanks for taking a look. Funnily, it is a good illustration that I am much better at reproducing something (drawing or photos) than making drawings on my own. Well, these are very old, so the original drawings are particularly clumsy, I included them only for exhaustiveness...
